I am a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Hormones, Health, and Human Behavior Lab at the University of Notre Dame. I am broadly interested in how psychosocial factors, such as stress and resource availability, affect life history traits and behavior.
I am also the Co-Director of the Utila Child Health Project. I helped establish this project in 2021 on the island of Utila, Honduras. There, we work with families to better understand have kids grow in response to variation in experienced stress, nutrition, and pathogen exposure. We collect our data using an innovative field design that looks very similar to a summer camp. With this design, we are able to collect our data while meeting community needs, such as providing enriching childcare, nutritious meals, and collaboration with local NGOs to teach kids about the community they live in.
